Great trip! Lots of info on the areas we visited!!

The concept of a barge and bike trip was great, the barge was not posh but adequately what I expected, the bikes were comfortable, and the locations for cycling and the terrains were what I expected as well. However, the firing of the chef with no replacement, poor meals, repetitious choices for lunches, few snacks or water at the end of a day’s cycling, limited air conditioning and the inability to extend the day’s ride for more miles or to cycle faster were not what I expected. I could not recommend this to any of my cycling club members without some reservations about the quality and flexibility of the trip.

The crew on the Iris was the best! They were friendly, helpful, professional and fun. The food was great, the barge was always sparkling clean, the bikes we’re well maintained. I can’t wait to book another trip!! Thanks Lenny and crew!!!

Everything about this tour was 5 star: 1. The guides 2. The accommodation 3. The food 4. The bikes 5. The cycling routes. I recommend this tour on the river Maine for the above reasons and for the beautiful towns visited on route.

Every bike and barge experience is different and the company makes each experience for the participants. This company offers a variety of choices for each day’s activity for every traveler with personal attention for the participants, excellent accommodations, meals and educated guides that offer background knowledge along the way making each day meaningful and memorable. I highly recommend this type of sightseeing for anyone who enjoys being outdoors and seeing the countryside at a leisurely pace and from a perspective not common to most tourists, whether it is a daily bike ride or a leisurely barge ride.

Many of us from our biking club did the Bike and Barge from Amsterdam to Brugge. We loved it! The staff, food, and accommodations were top notch and we enjoyed every minute of our trip.

I am a reasonably active senior, recently retired, and I have been on 5 trips with Eurosail, all a lot of fun, and I plan on enjoying many more bicycle barge adventures. The barge crew and guides are friendly, knowledgeable and fun. This is not a formal 5 star hotel, it is more like a well run family Bed & Breakfast. It is the perfect venue for me as it provides an opportunity to make friends, get exercise, and learn about the countries we cycle through. At the end of an active day, we get to enjoy an excellent gourmet dinner, a glass or two of fine wine and good company. It doesn’t get much better.

We had a wonderful experience, all the way from booking to the taxi back to the train at the end of our trip. Jossie was very helpful over e-mail prior to departure. Once we arrived in Amsterdam, the staff and captain of our boat were great. The guides were great, and we loved the small group of just 22 persons, with 2 guides so we were able to split our groups into the „fast“ group and the less avid cycling group, so everyone was comfortable. Both groups joined up for lunch etc. The food on board was wonderful, the accommodations small but clean and comfortable. We loved this very stress free way of traveling, did not have to worry about a single thing, they had everything from meals to ferry rides and bikes taken care of completely, all we had to do was go along for the ride and enjoy. We are going again in 2017, this time in France!

A beautiful clean well equipped ship with a crew that loves their job. The food was probably the best I have ever had on any ship! Or guides were well informed and knew their „stuff“. They conformed well with the personalities on the tour. I cannot say enough about the enjoyment I experienced on this tulip tour trip! I will be back for another adventure!

We have booked three Bike & Barge tours through Eurosail; France, Italy, and Germany. They are an excellent company. The tours are very well organized, the boats are clean and well suited for the specific trips. The food is wonderful. The staff on board are fun and energetic. The guides are knowledgeable and helpful in every way. If you have never experienced this type of travel we highly recommend it. It’s a great way to see the country, the villages, towns, and people up close. We will continue to book through Eurosail and are looking forward to our next adventure.
